FAQ
The questions that actually come up.
Not a list written to be easy to answer. These are the things firms ask us on the first call, in roughly the order they ask them — money, lock-in, what we will not do, and the agency that let them down last time. Answered straight, including where the honest answer is no.
Working together
No. Everything is month to month with thirty days' notice. We will tell you honestly that this work compounds and that judging a newsletter on one issue is like judging a gym membership on one session — but that is a recommendation, not a clause. Stay because it is working.
Brandon. The person who writes the plan is the person who answers the phone and the person who fixes it when something is wrong. There is no account manager layer, which is the main reason firms leave bigger agencies for us.
About twenty minutes. A short call or a few voice notes about what is going on at the firm, plus approval on the plan and the proof. Everything else is ours. Clients who send us one photo and a sentence still get a personal column that sounds like them.
Intake and follow-up changes show up in weeks, because they recover work you were already losing. Newsletters and content work on a longer clock — the referral conversations usually start changing around month four to six. Anyone promising faster than that on a relationship channel is guessing.
We rewrite it. Nothing prints or sends until you have approved it, so "I do not like it" is a revision, not a disaster. If we still cannot get it right, you have not lost a year.
Money
It depends on how many people you are mailing, how much is written from scratch, and how many channels you take. We will give you the whole number on the first call rather than after three meetings. Print and postage run about 60–70 cents a copy and are billed at cost — we do not mark them up.
Then let us take something out rather than do a watered-down version of everything. The services are priced to stand alone for exactly this reason. What we will not do is quote you a number so low that the work cannot actually be done properly — that wastes your money more thoroughly than not starting.
No. A flat management fee. A percentage gives an agency a reason to talk you into a bigger budget than the account can usefully spend, and we would rather not have that conversation with ourselves.
Sometimes — where there is genuine set-up work like a website build, a CRM configuration or an automation project. It is quoted separately and once, rather than buried in the monthly fee forever.
What you do and do not do
No — we stopped. Doing it properly is a full-time job and we would rather be excellent at five things than mediocre at nine. We will happily build the machine that turns your newsletter into a month of scheduled posts for whoever does run your accounts.
The foundations, yes: a fast site, clean structure, a Google Business Profile filled in properly, a real review process and a monthly article worth reading. For a local firm that beats most of what gets sold as SEO. What we do not run is a dedicated enterprise link-building program — if you need that, you want a specialist and we will say so.
Yes. Websites, automations and strategy sessions are all available as one-off projects without a retainer.
Yes. Most of the book is local and that is where we know the market best, but the work travels — the library on this site includes firms and businesses well outside Broward and Palm Beach.
Yes. Real estate, retail, beauty, home services and franchises are all in the library. Law firms are the majority because that is where we started, not because the work only applies to them.
Proof and privacy
Fourteen published issues are on this site and you can read every page of them. That is more than most agencies will show you.
We will not hand out a client's contact details or tell you what they pay — you would want the same discretion, and it is written into our agreements. What we can do is show you the actual work, which is the part you are buying.
Almost everyone we speak to has. It is usually one of three things: it stopped after three months, nobody could tell you what actually ran, or the work was aimed at strangers when the money was sitting in the existing list. Tell us which one it was and we will tell you straight whether we would do it differently or whether you should save your money.
You do. Domain, hosting, ad accounts, CRM, email platform — opened in your name, on your card, at cost. If we stop working together you keep the entire thing, including everything we built inside it.
We use it the way a good firm uses a paralegal: to research, to draft and to take the blank page away. A person edits every word before it reaches you, and you approve it before it reaches anybody else. We are not going to pretend otherwise, and we are not going to send your clients something nobody read.
Anything else
If yours is not here, ask it.
Every question on this page got added because somebody asked it first. Send us the one that is missing — you will get the same kind of answer, from the person who would be doing the work.
Still have a question?
Write it down as plainly as you can and send it over. Brandon reads these himself and answers them himself, and if the answer is that we are not the right people for it, that is what you will get back.
No pitch deck, no discovery-call gauntlet. One conversation, and a straight answer.
